Cherry Crumble Cake Recipe:

Crumble1/4 cup2 Tb1/4 tsp1/8 tsp1/4 tsp2 Tb1/4 cup1/4 cup
Cake1 1/2 cups1/2 cup1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/4 tsp1/4 cup13/4 cup1 tsp1 cup

Brown sugarFlourSaltGround cinnamonGround nutmegButterChopped almondsOld fashioned oatsFlour SugarSaltBaking powderBaking sodaButterEgg lightly beatenButtermilkVanillaFresh or frozen cherries pitted and chopped
Oven Temp ~ 350° Baking Time ~ 50 Min.Pan Type ~ 11 x 6 3/4 pan Preheat oven. Butter pan.
To make Crumble stir together first 5 ingredients. Add butter- using pastry blender mix well. Add almonds and oats mix and set aside.To make Cake sift first 5 ingredients; add butter; mix (with the pastry blender) until ingredients resemble coarse crumbs. In a small bowl lightly beat egg, buttermilk, and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients; fold till smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan.Scatter cherries over surface; sprinkle CRUMBLE evenly over top of cake. Bake until cake has risen and is golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 25 minutes.
